STEVE SANDIFER
CCSF Board President
Steve Sandifer served the Southwest Central Church of Christ as a minister for 37 years and has been involved with the Student Foundation most of that time. A graduate of Abilene Christian University (MA), Steve and his wife Jo, have two sons with two wonderful daughters-in-law and 6 grandchildren. Southwest Central has supported the UH ministry from its inception. Prior to is work with Southwest Central, he helped plant a church in Skelmersdale, Lancs., England (1972-77).

TERRY MONTGOMERY
CCSF Vice President
Terry is a Senior Investment Analyst at Northmarq Capital and serves as an elder at the Memorial Church of Christ where he also has led the missions committee and participated in mission trips to Ukraine. Terry and his wife, Anita, are the proud parents of four sons and a daughter. Last but not least, Terry is a proud Coog, as a UH alumnus. Go Coogs!

RHONDA RYAN

Rhonda has served with us for a number of years, being the key person for many aspects of the annual gala fundraiser dinners and now with accounting as well.  She is a CPA with her own business tax practice and business consulting firm. She has been on the board of other non-profits in the past and is passionate about helping people. She is a graduate of Abilene Christ

MARK FLIPPIN
CCSF Board Secretary
Mark worked in the insurance industry for 41 years before retiring in 2021. He lives in League City with wife Laura, and attends Southeast Church of Christ, where he serves as an elder. He is grateful for numerous mentors in his life who have taken the time to envision him at his best and show him the way there with their example and encouragement. Mark and Laura are the proud parents of two children and four grandchildren.

DALE ELLIOTT
CCSF Board Member
Long-time supporter of the student ministry at the University of Houston, Dale values his own college experience of being active in the Christian Student Center at the University of New Mexico. Holding an MBA from the University of Houston, and retired from telecom engineering and from education, he serves in church leadership and other ministries. He and his wife, Mary Charlotte, have three grown children and six grandchildren.

KIRK BLACKARD
CCSF Board Member
Kirk Blackard is retired from a career with Shell Oil Company. He is Chairman of the Board of Bridges To Life, a faith based prison ministry operating throughout Texas and in several other states. Kirk has authored several books, including Restoring Peace, the centerpiece of the ministry curriculum, and Reconciling the Bible and Science with Dr. Lynn Mitchell, showcasing Lynn’s teachings on science and the Bible.

JIM TAYLOR

Jim Taylor graduated from Abilene Christian University in 1989 and from South Texas College of Law in 1993. He is an attorney with the firm of Beck, Redden, & Secrest, LLP and practices in the area of business litigation. He, along with his wife and two sons, are members of West University Church of Christ where he serves as an elder. For the last seven years, he has worked with the college and young professional group.

PHIL RICE
CCSF Board Member
Phil’s career was in Human Resources; He retired in 1995. He has a BS Mechanical Engineering degree, an MA in Management, and 2 years of graduate work in Industrial Psychology. His professional passions are helping young adults find the right career and college education so they live a balanced life. He and his wife Barbara are members of SWCCC. His Christian passions are Foreign & Inner-city Missions, Encouraging Evangelists, buying bibles, and remembering he is a struggling, grateful, saved sinner. They have one daughter that lives in MD.
